The Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad have a large collection of historic narrow gauge railroad photos from several
collectors and photographers. Most of these photos were taken in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado. Digital copies of the

George Berkstresser (1928-2014) is an amatuer photographer who lived in Monte Vista, CO. His 1,073 photographs were mostly from around
Alamosa taken between the mid-1950s to the late 1970s.

Richard L. Dorman (1922-2010) was a dedicated railfan, model railroader and author. His 25,000 photographs are from the 1880's to the
1990’s. This is our largest collection.

The Andrus (Andy) M. Payne (1925-2012) collection was created while he was an engineer working out of Durango on the Denver & Rio
Grande Western Railroad. His 2,270 photographs were taken from 1954 through 1978

Thomas H. Gildersleeve (b. 19372) is a published amatuer photographer. His 800 photographs were taken from 1960 through 2003 of the
D&RGW, C&TS and D&S NG railroads.

Russell B. Sperry (b. 1941) is an amatuer photographer. 191 of Russ's photographs are of D&RGW narrow gauge operations in the 1960's
including the last freights over Cumbres Pass in August 1968. 213 of his photos are from the early days of the C&TS from 1970 through
